Training & Support
We train missionaries and churches to effectively avoid, prepare for, and respond to emergency situations.
We live in the dangerous world. Missionaries and churches should be equipped to identify and mitigate threats so they can protect those around them.
Circumspect’s classes and resources heighten situational awareness, provide medical training, enhance church security, and minimize negative impacts to your ministry.

Security Best Practices Class
This class equips missionaries and ministry staff to enhance their physical, operational, and cyber security. We teach what situational awareness is, how to keep from being a target for scammers, and countermeasures to employ to keep church facilities safe and operations running smoothly. Our Security Best Practices Class lays the groundwork for all of our other courses.

Antiterrorism Training
Our Antiterrorism Training is designed to develop terrorism awareness and enhance personal protective measures. It covers topics such as recognizing and responding to potential terrorist threats, understanding the tactics and techniques used by terrorists, and implementing personal safety strategies to reduce vulnerability. The training aims to equip missionaries with the knowledge and skills necessary to protect themselves and others from terrorists.
Emergency Medical Courses
Our Emergency Medical Courses provide life-saving information for short and long-term missionaries, as well as church staff. We teach a variety of courses that are each focused on a specific subject:
First Aid Class: This class teaches essential emergency response skills, including how to manage incidents, communicate with patients, and use a first aid kit. It covers lifesaving techniques like giving CPR, using an AED, and handling choking. Additionally, this course prepares students to treat injuries, including bleeding, burns, fractures, and medical conditions such as heart attacks, asthma, and seizures.
CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Training: Our CPR training equips students to perform chest compressions and rescue breaths in order to help someone experiencing cardiac arrest. It includes hands-on practice and can also cover the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).
Stop the Bleed Course: This course aims to empower individuals to prevent life-threatening blood loss. It teaches three critical techniques to control severe bleeding: applying hands-on pressure, packing a wound, and using a tourniquet.
Bloodborne Pathogens Training: This training covers types of bloodborne pathogens, how these pathogens are transmitted, and measures to reduce exposure. It includes guidelines on using personal protective equipment (PPE), proper hygiene, and what procedures to follow if exposure occurs.
Mission Trip Pre-Travel Briefings
We provide a comprehensive intelligence briefing based on your mission trip itinerary. This includes:
Country-Specific Crime Information
Medical Protocols (including necessary immunizations, restrictions, hospital information, and more)
Local Emergency Contacts
Evacuation Plans
Country-Specific Culture, Customs, & Laws
Time Zones, Weather, & Currency Information
Church Security Planning Services
Through our Church Security Planning Services, we offer a course and a consultation in one package. We use the Warrior Poet Society’s free, 12-part podcast as a foundation for our course. This allows you to evaluate the culture of your church and gives you the tools you need to begin building the right security program. Circumspect will then assess your church’s program based on the Department of Homeland Security’s Best Practices for Faith-Based Houses of Worship Security Programs, and advise you on how to create and implement the most appropriate security plan.
